At the meeting between the ASEAN Secretariat and Federation of ASEAN Consulting Engineers (FACE) on 23 January 2024 in Jakarta, the ASEAN Secretariat has expressed that FACE must comprise national associations from all ASEAN countries in order to get full recognition from the ASEAN Secretariat.
in this respect, ACEM was tasked to engage the consulting engineering association from Brunei (or its equivalent) to join FACE, while CEAT will seek out the respective associations from Cambodia and Laos.
ACEM welcomed Ir. Chin Lee Tuck, President of IEB-PUJA (Institution of Engineers Brunei – Pertubuhan Ukur, Jurutera & Arkitek) at ACEM office on 27 March 2024 for a casual discussion. ACEM representatives (Ir. Chong Chew Fan, Ir. Anuar Mohd Aris and Ir. Ahmad Rashidi) explained the aims and objectives of FACE and the role FACE plays in terms of inter country business collaboration. Ir. Chin Lee Tuck was receptive and will convey the invitation (to join FACE) to his members in PUJA.
