ACEM Successfully Conducts CDM Professional and Coordinator Course

The Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM) successfully held the Construction Design & Management (CDM) – CDM Professional & CDM Coordinator Course from 14 to 16 October 2025, attended by 25 participants.

The course featured a two-day physical session at Hotel Armada, Petaling Jaya, followed by an online session. Designed in line with the CDM Regulation 2024 by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Malaysia, the program focused on early-stage design risk management, regulatory compliance, and collaboration among project stakeholders.

Speakers Ir. Nimi binti Ahmad and Dr. Mohd Fairuz bin Ab Rahman shared insights on construction safety management and enforcement, helping participants understand the roles and responsibilities of Clients, Principal Designers, and Principal Contractors under the new regulations.

The course provided a practical platform for professionals to enhance their knowledge of construction safety design practices and support the effective implementation of CDM Regulation 2024 in Malaysia’s construction industry.
