Mr Dom LaVigne, AHRI’s Chief Representative in the ASEAN region paid a visit to the ACEM office on 20 April 2026. Ir. Ahmad Rashidi b Zainudin, Ir. Ahmad Masyhur b Jahaya and Ir. Chong Chew Fan represented ACEM at the meeting.

Mr LaVigne’s purpose was to meet with key stakeholders in Malaysia (including ACEM) to get a deeper understanding of the built environment industry and HVACR sectors, standards development, public policies around green buildings, energy efficiency. low-GWP refrigerant transition, etc. He shared about AHRI, their standards and certification work, and their plans in Southeast Asia. AHRI is keen to explore areas for potential cooperation.
