Course on Fundamentals of Bridge Design

On Thursday, 5 December 2024, a course on the Fundamentals of Bridge Design was successfully conducted at Hotel Armada Petaling Jaya, attracting an attendance of 42 participants. The primary objective of the course was to provide a comprehensive overview of bridge design while addressing common pitfalls that can adversely affect the careers of graduate engineers. Participants were introduced to various design methods, including the effective use of spreadsheets to facilitate preliminary design choices, which can significantly streamline the design process before moving on to detailed analysis.
