The FACE General Assembly Meeting (GAM) was held on Wednesday, 20 August 2025 at 0800 hours in the Bali Beach Hotel, Bali, Indonesia. The meeting was organised in conjunction with the FIDIC Asia Pacific (FAP) Conference held on 19 & 20 August 2025 hosted by INKINDO.
Members Association (MAs) present were INKINDO (Indonesia), ACES (Singapore), ACEM (Malaysia), CEAT (Thailand), CECOPHIL (Philippines), MICEG (Myanmar), VECAS (Vietnam) and ACEATIL (Timor-Leste). Ir. Anuar bin Mohd Aris (President) and Ir. Chong Chew Fan (Immediate Past President) represented ACEM at the GAM.
The FACE GAM was also attended by Mr Prashant Kapila (Board Member of FIDIC); Mr Sudhir Dhawan (Immediate Past Chairman of FAP) and Mr Widhoon Chiamchittrong (Chairman of FAP) who gave the opening remarks.
The meeting ratified the minutes of the past FACE GAM followed by a report on FACE activities for the past 2 years by ACES who is the current chair of FACE.
The meeting proceeded with the handing over of the chairmanship of FACE to ACEM who will hold the position for the next 2 years. INKINDO was elected as Vice Chairman based on the usual rotation system. Ir. Zulkifli Halim was re-elected as the FACE Secretary General and INKINDO remains the permanent Secretariat of FACE.
FACE welcomed ACEATIL as a new Member Association and GAM unanimously agree to pursue membership from the three (3) remaining ASEAN countries: Cambodia, Laos and Brunei.
Ir Anuar bin Mohd Aris as the new Chairman of the FACE Governing Board gave a brief speech seeking support from all MAs to continue the good work by the Past Chairs of FACE.
