The Federation of ASEAN Consulting Engineers (FACE) Governing Board Meeting was held on 5 October 2026 in Manila, Philippines, bringing together representatives from FACE Member Associations across the region. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss regional cooperation and ways to strengthen professional ties among consulting engineering associations.

Representatives from ACEM (Malaysia), CEAT (Thailand), INKINDO (Indonesia), VECAS (Vietnam), MICEG (Myanmar) and CECOPHIL (Philippines) attended in person, while representatives from Indonesia and Timor-Leste participated online.

Ir. Anuar Mohd Aris, FACE President and President of ACEM, delivered the opening remarks and expressed his appreciation to CECOPHIL for hosting the meeting. The President of CECOPHIL also welcomed the delegates and emphasised the importance of mutual support among FACE Member Associations.

The meeting explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing across the region. The Board agreed that each Member Association would organise a webinar to share its expertise, experience and relevant industry practices with the FACE network.

Discussions also covered practical ways to facilitate professional networking and the exchange of knowledge, including the use of existing association websites and member directories. These initiatives aim to strengthen connections among Member Associations and encourage greater sharing of professional expertise.

The Board further discussed FACE’s engagement in regional engineering initiatives, including the ASEAN Technical Working Group on Mobility of ASEAN Engineers (TWG-MAE), as part of its broader efforts to support cooperation among consulting engineering associations across ASEAN.

The meeting concluded with closing remarks expressing appreciation to the participants and thanking CECOPHIL for hosting. This was followed by a group photograph with the CECOPHIL Board of Directors.
