IEM Sabah offers a one-day course on Geotechnical Engineering in collaboration with ACEM Sabah. On October 1, 2024, the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) Sabah, in collaboration with ACEM Sabah, organized a one-day course on “Geotechnical Engineering” at the IEM Sabah Training Centre in Damai Point, Kota Kinabalu. The course featured expert speakers, Ir. Wong Chen Jack and Ir. Hiew Vun Heng, who led three informative sessions. The first two sessions provided in-depth insights into Slope Engineering and Soft Ground Engineering, addressing critical concepts and practical approaches in these fields. The final session introduced participants to Foundation Design and Supervision, offering foundational knowledge crucial for geotechnical engineering practices. This well-organized program provided valuable knowledge for engineers and practitioners, reinforcing ACEM Sabah’s commitment to professional development in geotechnics.
