An Induction Course for New Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Engineers was held from 22 to 24 September 2025, aimed at introducing young engineers to professional consulting engineering practice.
The three-day programme provided participants with an overview of M&E design principles, consulting roles, and industry best practices, preparing them for further training in specialised areas.
Throughout the course, participants were guided through key topics including Professional Practice, Electrical High Voltage & Low Voltage Installations, Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) Systems, Lifts and Escalators, Hydraulic Services, Fire Safety Systems, and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Systems. Each session was designed to provide practical insights and technical understanding relevant to daily consulting engineering work.
Targeted at Mechanical and Electrical Engineers with less than two years of experience, the course served as a valuable platform to enhance understanding of consulting engineering services, industry standards, and professional responsibilities. The event was successfully conducted, achieving its objectives and concluding on a positive note.
