The annual Induction Course for new M&E Engineers was held at the Armada Hotel from 09 September to 11 September,spanning 2.5 days. This course has been sucessfulyy organised by ACEM for about 3 decades. Despite the target audience being Mechanical or Electrical Engineers without formal training in Consulting Engineering practice, as well as Engineers in consulting engineering firms with up to 2 years ofexperience, a total of 40 engineers from various other industries also attended and successfully completed the course.
The primary objectives of the course are to:
- Introduce Professional M&E Consulting Engineering services to new M&E Engineers.
- Provide a brief overview of M&E design engineering practices, and
- Prepare course participants for further training in specific M&E engineering practices.
The course is eligible for 15 CPD hours for Registered Persons with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
The facilitators comprised of seven professional engineers covering various topics, including Professional Practice, Extra Low Voltage systems, Lifts and Escalators, Electrical High and Low Voltage Installations, Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation Systems, Fire Safety Systems and Plumbing and Sanitary Systems.
