The Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (Sarawak Branch) successfully hosted a one-day seminar titled “Structural Investigations for Repair and Rehabilitation of Concrete Structures” on 21 April 2025 at Fifty Six Hotel, Kuching.
The seminar was presented by Ir. Parnam Singh of SHR Associates, Kuala Lumpur. A registered Professional Civil Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and a Corporate Member of IEM, Ir. Parnam brings over 35 years of experience in structural failures, forensic engineering, and the assessment of concrete structures. He has authored more than 40 technical papers and has held key positions in several industry bodies, including the American Concrete Institute (KL Chapter), the Concrete Society of Malaysia, and the Asian Concrete Federation. He is also a certified Specialist Trainer with the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association of Malaysia.
The seminar attracted 33 participants, including engineers, consultants, and industry professionals. Attendees benefited from Ir. Parnam’s wealth of knowledge and practical insights on structural investigations, repair strategies, and rehabilitation techniques for concrete structures.
The event provided a valuable platform for professional development and technical exchange, reaffirming the Branch’s commitment to lifelong learning and professional development in the engineering community.
