The ACEM Forum 2024 took place on April 25, 2024, from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Sime Darby Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur. Over 40 attendees, including ACEM members and fellow engineers, gathered to discuss current challenges facing the engineering consultancy industry and ACEM’s efforts to address them.
ACEM, as the advocate for engineering consultancy businesses, organized the forum to update members on industry issues and solicit feedback on how to improve the business environment. The event aimed to provide a platform for discussion, allowing attendees to voice their views and suggestions.
The agenda included presentations on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) for ECP by Ir. Sharifah Azlina bt Raja Kamal Pasmah from HSSI Integrated Sdn Bhd, and on the Services Export Fund by Ms. Norbilah Hussein @ Che Awang from MATRADE.
The forum concluded with a dialogue session where attendees could pose questions to a panel consisting of the ACEM President, Deputy President, and Immediate Past President. The event ended with lunch, fostering networking opportunities among participants for the enhancement of the engineering consultancy industry.
