The ACEM Sabah CSR 2025: Program Amal ‘Kembali Ke Sekolah (Back to School Program)’ was held on 11 March 2025 at SK Kibabaig, Penampang, Sabah. Organized by ACEM Sabah, the event aimed to provide aid to 100 underprivileged primary school students.
The program was led by Chairman Datuk Ir. Chin Shu Ying and attended by key committee members, including Ir. Benny Song Perng Yeu, Datuk Ir. Br. Ts. Dr. Amarjit Singh, Ir. Lo Chau Thai @ Kenny, Ir. Tan Koh Yon, and Ir. Ts. Tan Kok Jyh. During the event, gift bags containing essential stationery and food items were distributed to the students to help ease their educational journey.
In her speech, the Headmistress warmly welcomed the generous support and expressed her gratitude. She emphasized the importance of such initiatives in providing relief to students in need and expressed hope that similar assistance would continue in the future
Datuk Ir. Chin addressed the students, encouraging them to strive for excellence in their studies, particularly in STEM subjects. He also stressed the significance of maintaining good health and developing into responsible citizens.
After the donation ceremony, the event concluded with a school tour, where attendees were given insight into the school’s challenges, including urgent structural repairs and classroom shortages. Additionally, the school was identified as being at risk of flooding, highlighting the need for further support and improvements.
The ACEM Sabah CSR program successfully provided much-needed assistance to the students of SK Kibabaig while shedding light on the school’s ongoing challenges, reinforcing the importance of continued community support and engagement.
