On 1 September 2026, ACEM Sabah, led by its Branch Chairman, Ir. Benny Song, paid a courtesy call on the Director of Jabatan Air Sabah, Mr. Chee Chun Chieh.

The meeting served as a platform for ACEM Sabah to sintroduce the Branch and its committee members, while exchanging views on key issues affecting water infrastructure and supply. Among the matters discussed were the progress of tendering for water-reticulation works in development projects, the provision of water-storage capacity equivalent to three days’ demand, challenges contributing to water shortages, and potential areas for future cooperation.

The engagement enabled both parties to exchange perspectives and explore closer cooperation in addressing water supply challenges and supporting infrastructure development across Sabah.
