The “Webinar on E-Invoicing in Malaysia: Developments and Updates” was successfully conducted on 6th March 2025 at 10:00 AM via Zoom. The session was attended by 123 participants and was exclusively for ACEM members.
The webinar featured Cik Nazaitul Bahiyah bt Md Yusof as the speaker. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from MARA University of Technology, Shah Alam, Malaysia, and has been with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) since May 2008. With extensive experience in tax audits at various branches, including Johor Bahru, Taiping, and Duta, she currently serves as the Senior Revenue Executive II in the Tax Operational Department and is a key member of the IRBM e-Invoicing team.
The presentation by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDNM) covered several crucial aspects of e-Invoicing in Malaysia. It began with an overview of e-Invoicing, followed by a detailed explanation of e-Invoice treatment. The session also provided insights into the necessary preparations for e-Invoice implementation, highlighting common challenges faced by businesses and the impact of e-Invoicing on taxation. Additionally, updates on the implementation progress for Phase 1 and Phase 2 were shared, along with any new or upcoming features related to e-Invoicing.
The webinar served as an informative platform for ACEM members to understand the latest developments in e-Invoicing and to prepare for its implementation effectively. The session concluded with a Q&A segment, where participants engaged with the speaker to clarify their queries on the subject.
