The Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM) Sabah Branch successfully held its Biennial Dinner on 9 August 2025 at the Hilton Hotel, Kota Kinabalu, with the theme “Together We Build.”

The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, YB Datuk Ir. Shahelmey Yahya, Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah cum Minister of Public Works, who highlighted the vital role of the consulting engineering profession in supporting the state’s progress and infrastructure development.

A key highlight of the evening was the handing over of the ceremonial chain of the Branch Chairman from Datuk Ir. Chin Shu Ying to the newly elected Chairman, Ir. Benny Song Perng Yeu. The evening also recognised the dedication of four long-serving committee members, who were presented with Long Service Awards.

The dinner was attended by 500 guests, including ACEM members, professional bodies, government departments, and invited guests. It served as a meaningful occasion to celebrate achievements, strengthen ties, and reaffirm the collective spirit of collaboration under the theme “Together We Build.”
