On 18 September 2025, ACEM Sabah organised a session titled “Case Study on Usage of ChatGPT in Technical Design” at the IEM Sabah Training Centre, Damai, Kota Kinabalu. The talk was delivered by Ir. Shah Izzni Talif bin Mohd Adnan, who explored the current understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and demonstrated its applications in engineering design and calculations through ChatGPT.

The programme also included hands-on activities where participants engaged with the latest Large Language Models (LLMs) across different platforms. The session provided valuable insights into how AI can support day-to-day engineering tasks, while highlighting opportunities and challenges for professionals in adapting to emerging technologies.
