ACEM Sabah, led by its Chairman, Ir. Benny Song, undertook a two-day friendship visit to ACEM Sarawak from 21 to 22 August 2026.

The visit commenced on 21 August 2026 with a dialogue session held at the DCCI Conference Room, Kuching, where ACEM Sarawak Branch Chairman, Ir. Hii Tiong Koon welcomed the ACEM Sabah delegation. The dialogue provided an opportunity for both branches to exchange views and share experiences, while strengthening professional ties and collaboration between the two branches.

Following the dialogue session, the delegation proceeded on a technical visit to the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) Depot Site at Rembus, Kota Samarahan, accompanied by members and the Secretariat of ACEM Sarawak. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Metro Sarawak Sdn Bhd, which conducted a briefing on the project and provided an overview of the development, technical aspects, and implementation of the KUTS Depot.

In the evening, ACEM Sarawak hosted a dinner for the ACEM Sabah delegation at the Sarawak Club, Kuching. The dinner provided a relaxed setting for members from both branches to further strengthen their professional and personal relationships.

On 22 August 2026, the ACEM Sarawak delegation accompanied the ACEM Sabah representatives on a technical visit to the Sejingkat Bridge, Kuching. The delegation was welcomed by representatives from JKR Sarawak and the project’s consulting engineering team, who provided a comprehensive briefing on the project, including its engineering features and development considerations.

The two-day friendship visit enabled ACEM Sabah and ACEM Sarawak to strengthen ties, exchange professional knowledge and enhance cooperation among consulting engineers in Malaysia. The successful programme also demonstrated the importance of continued collaboration and mutual engagement between the two branches.
