The Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM) Sarawak Branch, in collaboration with the Ministry of Utility and Telecommunication Sarawak (MUTS), organised a one-day technical talk on 25 August 2025 at the IEM (Sarawak Branch) Function Room, Kuching. The event drew approximately 62 participants, comprising professionals and members from the engineering community.

The session was conducted by Ts. Mollie Anak Urai and Ts. Hajah Happy Fadzilla Ali binti Hj. Punjabi, both senior engineers from MUTS’s Electrical Supply Division. The speakers shared insightful knowledge on the roles and requirements of competent persons and electrical contractors under the Electricity Rules 1999, as well as updates on the development of circulars and standards for the electricity industry in Sarawak.

As a gesture of appreciation, souvenirs were presented to the two guest speakers from MUTS at the end of the session.
