On 4 November 2025, the ACEM Sarawak Branch hosted a one-day seminar titled “Sustainable & Resilient Solutions for Coastal & River Engineering” at Fifty-Six Hotel, Kuching. The seminar saw encouraging participation with sixty-three (63) attendees from various engineering organizations and agencies.

The invited speakers for the event were Ir. Dr. Lee In (Perunding Maju Setia Sdn. Bhd.), Dr. Henry Tan (Geonamics (S) Pte. Ltd.), Ir. Iwan Tan bin Sofian Tan (Dr. Nik & Associates Sdn. Bhd.), Ir. Albert Lim Lum Kong (Solmax) and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chew Soon Hoe (National University of Singapore), each sharing their expertise on current challenges and solutions in the field.

The program offered valuable insights into sustainable practices, coastal resilience, erosion mitigation and river system management. The speakers’ contributions were well received, and each was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation.
