The Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Sarawak conducted a stakeholder engagement session on the Sarawak Urban Stormwater Management (SUStoM) Guidelines on 5 November 2025 at Imperial Hotel, Kuching. The session was graced by Yang Berhormat Datuk Amar Prof. Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Premier and Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak.

ACEM Sarawak Branch was represented by Ir. Syed Muhammad Zabeed bin Mohammad Bolhair, Ir. Tan Kai Kang, Ir. Ong Chet Yun, Ir. Mohd Noorhalisafiq bin Mohamad Rizal and Ir. Tan Kee Beng at the session.

 The engagement focused on the implementation framework, stakeholder roles and compliance outline of the SUStoM guidelines. The representatives provided inputs from the consulting engineering perspective to support effective adoption of the policy.
