On 5 May 2026, ACEM held the Zoom webinar “From Compliance to Opportunity: The Role of Consulting Engineers under Malaysia’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2024” with a total of 66 participants.
The webinar provided consulting engineers with an overview of the key provisions of EECA 2024 and explained the regulatory framework introduced by the Energy Commission Malaysia. It also highlighted the growing opportunities for consulting engineers to support organisations in achieving compliance and improving energy performance.
The session was delivered by Ir. Chong Chew Fan, a Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate registered with Board of Engineers, Malaysia, Registered Energy Manager Type 2 with Energy Commission Malaysia and Registered Electrical Energy Manager with Energy Commission of Sabah.
