ACEM successfully conducted the Site Supervision Course (SSC) – Electrical Discipline Module webinar series from 6 June to 25 July 2026, held on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Introduced in 2016, the Site Supervision Course was developed to enhance the competency and technical knowledge of Inspectors-of-Works (IOWs) and Site Supervisors, who serve as the Consulting Engineers’ representatives during project implementation. The programme also supports IOWs in fulfilling their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements while providing valuable technical exposure for Engineers and Engineering Technologists.
The sessions were delivered by experienced industry practitioners. Ir. Chong Chew Fan conducted the webinars on 6 June, 13 June, 4 July, and 25 July 2026, covering the Medium Voltage (MV) System, Low Voltage (LV) System, Standby Power System and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Systems modules. Ir. Khamsah binti Rais presented the sessions on 27 June and 11 July 2026, covering Lighting System as well as Lightning Protection and Earthing Systems.
Throughout the webinar series, participants gained practical knowledge of electrical systems, installation requirements, testing and commissioning procedures, and best practices in site supervision. The programme further strengthened participants’ technical competencies and reinforced ACEM’s commitment to supporting continuous professional development within the engineering profession.
