Half day talk on “Next Generation Building Materials: Self-Healing Durability and Anti-Microbial Innovation” on 24 June 2026

ACEM Sarawak Branch, in collaboration with United GI Products (Sarawak) and Yieh Phui Enterprise Co. Ltd., Taiwan, organized a half-day technical talk titled “Next Generation Building Materials: Self-Healing Durability and Anti-Microbial Innovation” on 24 June 2026 at Fifty Six Hotel, Kuching.

The talk was delivered by Mr. Jason Huang from Yieh Phui Enterprise Co. Ltd., Taiwan, and was attended by approximately 11 engineers.

The presentation highlighted recent advancements in coated steel technologies for construction applications, with a particular focus on enhancing material performance, durability, and long-term sustainability. The speaker introduced innovative self-healing coating technologies designed to improve corrosion resistance and extend the service life of steel products. In addition, anti-microbial coating innovations were presented, demonstrating their potential to enhance hygiene and provide added value in modern building environments.

The technical talk provided participants with valuable insights into next-generation building materials and emerging technologies that can contribute to more durable, sustainable, and high-performance construction practices.
