ACEM Webinar Series Site Supervision Course Discipline Module: Electrical 2024

The ACEM Webinar Series for the Site Supervision Course’s Discipline Module: Electrical was successfully held from September to November 2024, with sessions conducted online via Zoom from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. During this period, a total of 741 participants attended the various courses offered. The series aimed to provide Graduate Engineers, Engineering Technologists, and Inspectors of Works (IOW) with the practical knowledge and information necessary for effective site supervision, focusing on good engineering practices, proper procedures, and accurate reporting to ensure compliance with approved designs, drawings, and specifications.

The Electrical discipline module was organized into six webinars, each covering essential topics relevant to site supervision in electrical engineering. These topics included Medium Voltage (MV) Systems, Low Voltage (LV) Systems, Lighting Systems, Standby Power Systems, Lightning Protection and Earthing Systems, and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Systems. Participants who registered for all webinars in this module were eligible for an ACEM Certificate of Achievement, contingent upon their full attendance.

The webinars were facilitated by experienced trainers, Ir. Ahmad Rashidi Zainudin, Ir. Chong Chew Fan, and Ir. Khamsah binti Rais, whose expertise greatly enhanced the learning experience for all attendees. Overall, the series not only attracted a significant number of participants but also underscored ACEM’s commitment to advancing the competencies of professionals in the field of electrical engineering and site supervision.
